Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Embark at Tuan Chau port, cruise to Halong Bay, and discover Sung Sot cave.
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or our Shuttle Bus stop if you stay outside the Old Quarter (additional fee applies). We’ll then embark on a scenic journey to Halong City. The transfer takes approximately 2.5 – 3 hours, with a restroom stop available along the way (optional).
11:30 – 11:45: Arrive at Tuan Chau International Port, where Essence Grand Cruise staff will welcome and assist you with check-in procedures.
12:30: Check in at the reception on the first floor.
13:00 – 14:30: Relax and enjoy our welcome drink while being briefed about the itinerary and safety policies. Lunch will be served at the Dining By The Bay restaurant.
15:30 – 16:30: Embark on a transfer boat with the Essence Grand Cruise staff to visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, discovered by a group of French explorers in 1901. For guests not participating in experience activities, you can enjoy our onboard services including spa & massage, 4-season pool, cigar & lounge, kid’s clubs (additional fees applied).
17:30 – 18:30: Witness the breathtaking sunset as it illuminates the water between the dramatic limestone peaks and emerald-green coves. Choose and savor canapés and your favorite drinks at the Sky Bar.
19:00: Indulge in a delightful dinner at our restaurant, featuring a selection of Western and Vietnamese cuisine.
21:00: After dinner, unwind in your suite; treat yourself at the spa; experience squid fishing at the back of the boat on the first floor; or socialize with your fellow travelers at our cigar and wine lounge, karaoke club, sky bar, or pool bar. 06:00 – 06:30: Kickstart your day with invigorating meditation exercises to rebalance and rejuvenate your energy, or opt for a workout session at the gym aboard the cruise ship.
06:30 – 07:30: Indulge in a light breakfast served in the restaurant.
08:30: Depart from the cruise ship and embark on your journey from Titop Island via a day boat.
10:30 – 11:30: Cruise to Lan Ha Bay, nestled within the Cat Ba island archipelago. Make a stop at the Dark and Bright Caves area for kayaking.
11:30: Lunch will be served onboard the boat.
12:30 – 13:30: Bask in the crystal-clear waters and pristine white sands of Ba Trai Dao Beach. Then, return to Halong for further exploration.
14:45 – 15:25: Explore the pearl farming process at the Pearl Farm Exhibition Center and Museum. Return to the Essence Grand Cruise afterward.
17:30 – 18:30: Revel in the breathtaking moments of the day as the sun sets amidst the dramatic limestone peaks and emerald-green coves. Choose from a selection of canapés and your favorite drinks at the Sky bar.
19:00: Have dinner and delight your taste buds with a variety of Western and Vietnamese cuisine options.

07:30 – 08:30: Embark on a journey to Luon Cave via our speed boat – a must-visit destination accessible by rowing bamboo boat, situated on the northeastern part of Bo Hon Island. Afterward, engage in kayaking, an essential activity in Halong Bay.
09:30 – 10:30: Complete the check-out process at our Reception Desk located on the first floor. Enjoy a leisurely brunch buffet on the cruise as we continue our journey back to the port.
10:45: Cruise back to the Essence Grand Cruise port.
Our driver will greet you at the Cruise Waiting Lounge and transfer you to Hanoi (additional fees applied). The journey takes approximately 2.5-3 hours, with a restroom stop available along the way (optional). You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or at our Shuttle Bus stop.
