Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Embark at Tuan Chau port, cruise to Halong Bay, and discover Sung Sot cave.
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or our Shuttle Bus stop if you stay outside the Old Quarter (additional fee applies). We’ll then embark on a scenic journey to Halong City. The transfer takes approximately 2.5 – 3 hours, with a restroom stop available along the way (optional).
11:30 – 11:45: Arrive at Tuan Chau International Port, where Essence Grand Cruise staff will welcome and assist you with check-in procedures.
12:30: Check in at the reception on the first floor.
13:00 – 14:30: Relax and enjoy our welcome drink while being briefed about the itinerary and safety policies. Lunch will be served at the Dining By The Bay restaurant.
15:30 – 16:30: Embark on a transfer boat with the Essence Grand Cruise staff to visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, discovered by a group of French explorers in 1901. For guests not participating in experience activities, you can enjoy our onboard services including spa & massage, 4-season pool, cigar & lounge, kid’s clubs (additional fees applied).
17:30 – 18:30: Witness the breathtaking sunset as it illuminates the water between the dramatic limestone peaks and emerald-green coves. Choose and savor canapés and your favorite drinks at the Sky Bar.
19:00: Indulge in a delightful dinner at our restaurant, featuring a selection of Western and Vietnamese cuisine.
21:00: After dinner, unwind in your suite; treat yourself at the spa; experience squid fishing at the back of the boat on the first floor; or socialize with your fellow travelers at our cigar and wine lounge, karaoke club, sky bar, or pool bar.
