Saigon City’s full-day tour includes a visit to Independence Palace, a walking tour, the War Remnants Museum, and Ben Thanh Market.
9:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel to visit Independence Palace, which was once the home office of the Presidents of South Vietnam. The visit includes the North Vietnamese tank that attacked the palace in 1975 to end the Vietnam War, as well as the preserved rooms in their late 1960s and 1970s style, and a bunker basement.
Continue with a leisurely walking tour to Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, a picturesque spot reflecting French colonial influences. Then head to Nguyen Hue walking street to visit the Saigon Central Post Office, a stunning building designed by Gustave Eiffel.
Take a break for lunch or a drink (at your own expense) and visit the War Remnants Museum in the afternoon, offering a comprehensive view of the Vietnam War.
End the day with a visit to the famous Ben Thanh Market, open since 1870, where you can purchase inexpensive souvenirs and enjoy Vietnamese street food.
Return to your hotel and enjoy free time to explore the city or relax.
At 8:00 AM, we will depart from your hotel for a special excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the most significant sites in the history of the Vietnam War.
The Cu Chi Tunnels are an extensive underground network covering over 250km. This was where the Viet Cong waged a war of resistance against American troops. The tunnels, hand-dug over twenty years using only pickaxes and shovels, form a real underground city. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to enter some parts of the tunnels and also visit the less-touristy Ben Duoc Memorial Temple built in 1993 in remembrance of the Vietnamese who lost their lives at Cu Chi.
We will then proceed to visit the Cao Dai Temple, one of the most revered attractions in Vietnam. Caodaism is a uniquely Vietnamese religion incorporating elements of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Roman Catholicism. If you wish, you can attend the midday mass during your visit.
After the temple visit, we will have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel in the afternoon.
The tour includes an English-speaking guide, meals (breakfast and lunch), private transportation, entrance fees, and two bottles of mineral water (500 ml) per person per day.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet our tour guide and driver for your transfer to Cai Be. On the way, you will visit the Cao Dai temple. Upon arrival in Cai Be, you will get to experience life along the Mekong River by visiting the canals lined with orchards. You can also visit craft workshops where rice popcorn, coconut caramel, and rice cakes are made. Additionally, you have the option to go biking or walking on village paths to discover the ancient and beautiful Phu Chau pagoda and meet the local people.
You will enjoy lunch at an open-air restaurant, where you can taste a famous local specialty, the elephant ear fish. Finally, you can enjoy tasty seasonal fruits while rowing a small rowboat in the canals shaded by fruit trees.
You will be picked up by a private driver at the hotel lobby and taken to Tan Son Nhat airport, either the international or domestic hall based on your preference, for your flight to Nha Trang. Thank you for visiting our city.
Please note that for international flights, you need to be at the airport 3 hours before departure, and for domestic flights, 2 hours before.
During rush hours (07:00 – 08:30 AM and 16:30 – 18:30), the journey from the city center to Tan Son Nhat airport takes about 1 hour.
Upon arrival at Cam Ranh airport, you will enjoy a 1-hour drive along the coast to the city center. You will have the opportunity to witness the beautiful ocean landscape. Upon reaching Nha Trang, you can check into your hotel and start enjoying your beach vacation.
