Detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai
At 9:00 P.M., pick up at the hotel lobby in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai.
Accommodation: 4-berth soft sleeper train cabin.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Muong Hoa Valley – Sapa (B,L,D)
At 6:30 am, you will be picked up at Lao Cai Station and then take a shared minivan for an hour’s drive uphill to Sapa. You will have breakfast in a local restaurant and then have free time to explore the charming town. You can visit the Sapa market, and the old cathedral, and meet local ethnic minority peoples such as Black Hmong and Red Zao. These locals wear their traditional colorful dresses and sell their farming and gathering products as well as handicrafts for souvenirs.
At 9:00 am, you will start your exploration trip to Muong Hoa valley. Following the main road south for about an hour before turning right to a footpath downhill to Muong Hoa Valley, you will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the highest part of Hoang Lien Son mountain range. You might even see Fansipan Peak on a nice day. After crossing the river by a suspension bridge, you will walk uphill to Y Linh Ho village, where you can observe H’mong families going about their daily activities. After a picnic lunch, the trail continues up and downhill for about 2 hours until you reach Lao Chai, a large H’mong village. Then, you will follow the river bank to Ta Van of the Zay people, visiting local homes and village schools. This will be a cultural discovery of local ethnic peoples and provide breathtaking scenery of the Muong Hoa Valley.
At 5:00 pm, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3: Sapa – Love Waterfall – Tram Ton Pass– Than Uyen – Mu Cang Chai (B,L,D)
This morning, check out from Sapa and head to Mu Cang Chai, home to beautiful terraced fields recognized as a heritage site. From Sapa town, the car will take you across Tram Ton Pass, where you can enjoy the fresh, cool air and nice landscapes, including Love Waterfall. Visit the villages of Muong Khoa, Muong Kim, and Na Kim to experience the vibrant culture of the minority groups. Lunch will be arranged en route. Upon arrival in Mu Cang Chai in the mid-afternoon, you will drive to Kim Noi village, the village of the Black Thai people, where one family will host you for the day. You will have leisure time to stroll around the village and witness the normal life of the villagers. Dinner will be with the host family.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Hua Khat Village – Tu Le (B,L,D)
Begin the day with breakfast at the homestay. Then, take a walk to visit Hua Khat Village, home to the Hmong Tribe, and capture amazing photos of the landscape with rice paddies. Afterward, walk to the main road where a car will be waiting for us. We will cross Cao Pha Pass on a bumpy road, visit a bee-growing farm, and see some minority groups on the way before reaching Tu Le.
Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your free time.
Day 5: Tu Le – Muong Lo – Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, continue the trip by car to Hanoi via Muong Lo (Nghia Lo). This unspoiled tourist destination offers beautiful landscapes and opportunities to visit Dzao and Thai minorities along the way. Have lunch en route. Upon arriving in Hanoi around 03:00 P.M, the tour will conclude, with drop-off service at your hotel.
